Another Three Awards, More Glory Added

From August 17th to 18th, 2024, the 'China Robot and Artificial Intelligence Competition' was held at the Shaoquan Sports Center in Hefei, Anhui. Under the guidance of teachers Tong Dong and Cao Shiming from the School of Computer Engineering and Artificial Intelligence at our university, three teams, comprising students Wu Haolin, Bo Guangrui, Gong Xingyu, and others, won one first prize and one second prize respectively in the Robot Application Competition (Intelligent Driving) track, as well as one third prize in the Innovation Competition (New Quality Productivity) track.

This competition is hosted by the Organizing Committee of the China Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Competition, with over 1300 participants from 407 teams across 208 universities, including prestigious institutions such as Tsinghua University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Zhejiang University, National University of Defense Technology, Beihang University, Beijing Institute of Technology, Tongji University, and Huazhong University of Science and Technology. The competition focuses on the application and practice of cutting-edge technologies in areas such as autonomous driving, robotics, and artificial intelligence, involving technical exchanges, discussions, and intense competition. More than 200 experts, scholars, and industry elites in the field of robotics and artificial intelligence gathered to discuss the latest technologies and application implementations in their field. The competition has been included in the national ranking list of subject competitions for ordinary colleges and universities and the analysis report of national competitions for ordinary college students, as released by the Chinese Association of Higher Education.

During the competition, our teams, led by Wu Haolin, Bo Guangrui, and Gong Xingyu, overcame various challenges, such as high temperatures and humidity, through repeated training and continuous improvement, ultimately achieving excellent results in the national finals.The excellent results achieved this time not only demonstrate the solid foundation of our students in the fields of robotics and artificial intelligence but also highlight the significant achievements and outstanding contributions of the school in cultivating innovative talents.
