The Well-Organized Vaccination Against Covid-19 Virus was Carried Out at JLUAT

On May 6, JLUAT organized the vaccination of staff and students in batches in the gymnasium in accordance with the general plan of the vaccination of the covid-19 virus in Kuancheng District of Changchun City. In order to ensure regular prevention and control of the epidemic and to build a safe campus, the university organized the vaccination of in batches in the gymnasium.

Sun Lei, Director of the Medical Administration Division of the Changchun Municipal Health Commission, Yang Xiaopei, Director of the Kuancheng District Health Bureau, Sun Chuanyong, Deputy Director, Zhang Xianhui, Director of the Kuancheng District Center for Disease Control, Lin Tong, Section Chief of the Kuancheng District Health Bureau, and Ma Zhigang, a committee member from Lanjia Town, visited JLUAT for vaccines Inoculation site inspection and guidance work. The school’s chairman Chen Yitian, president Han Liqiang, and party secretary Yan Feng came to the scene to express condolences to the hard-working medical staff and volunteers. Lyu Haisheng, deputy secretary of the party committee and vice president, and Wang Hongwei, assistant to the principal, accompanied and took the lead in the vaccination process.

The vaccination was initiated at 8:00 a.m. the students from all the colleges entered the site for vaccination in an orderly manner in the unit of classes. At the entrance, there is a consultation area and information registration area to provide consultation services. The teachers and students can sign the informed consent form related to vaccination. 20 vaccination areas have been set up in the pavilion where vaccination can be conducted simultaneously. In addition, there is a detention area and an emergency treatment room, in which the medical personnel are assigned to deal with possible discomfort after vaccination to ensure the safety of the teachers and students.

Chairman Chen Yitian, President Han Liqiang and Party Secretary Yan Feng visited the site to keep track of the vaccination process in detail, to carefully check the operation of each link, and communicate with medical staff and volunteers to complete the vaccination as the political priority.

Director Sun Lei expressed full affirmation of the standard preparation of the vaccination site and the good order of the vaccination site. He expressed gratitude to the school for supporting the vaccination and contributing to building up the immunization barrier. He hoped that Lanjia Town Health Center and JLUAT would strengthen the medical service guarantee, improve the vaccination work mechanism, press forward the monitoring of abnormal reactions and dispose of them properly and promptly to ensure that the vaccination could be promoted steadily, orderly and safely.

On behalf of the leadership team of the university, President Han Liqiang extended gratitude to Director Sun Lei for his guidance and support of the vaccination work, and said that the university would spare no effort to further improve the measures of vaccination work with a highly responsible attitude toward the teachers and the students, and will speed up the vaccination to guarantee the health and safety of teachers and students and the order of the university. 

The university attaches enormous importance to this task of vaccination. In order to organize the vaccination work, Comrade Lyu Haisheng, deputy secretary of the Party Committee, vice president of the university and executive deputy head of the leading group of epidemic prevention and control work, commanded and dispatched on site, and contacted with the health bureau of Kuancheng district, CDC of Kuancheng district and health center of Lanjia town to comprehensively coordinate the matters related to vaccination. The functional departments and working groups of the university, the health clinic, academic staff office, personnel office, defense office, publicity department, academic affairs department, logistics support department, network center, military sports department and other working groups jointly prepared and organized the activities in accordance with the requirements of the health committee and CDC of Kuancheng district on the site, providing materials and vaccination work of the temporary vaccination site, so that the teachers and students do not have to get out of the campus to get vaccination.

Vaccination is the most powerful and effective weapon to combat the virus pneumonia, and is the most effective means to prevent infection and protect the health of all people during the period of regular epidemic prevention and control. The vaccinated teachers and students said, "This vaccination work depicts a vivid lesson of patriotism education, as it demonstrates that the safety and health of their own lives also indicates the moral obligation for others. It is the embodiment of our patriotism spirit."

The first dose of the vaccination program at JLUAT is expected to complete on more than 10,000 teachers, students and staff within two days from May 6 to 7, contributing to the regular epidemic prevention and control of the university and the construction of the Great Wall of Immunity.
