Two New Liberal Arts Projects of JLUAT are Approved in the Research and Reform Practice Projects of Jilin Province

Recently, the Department of Education o Jilin Province announced the list of projects for the research and reform of new liberal arts in Jilin Province, and the projects hosted by Professor Wang Ying and Professor Sun Yanchun from JLUAT were approved.

JLUAT has always attached great importance to the declaration of the new liberal arts research and reform project, and has organized the involved personnel to conduct in-depth research on the concept of new liberal arts construction, transformation and upgrading of traditional liberal arts majors for the purpose of collaborative education, talent cultivation platform construction and integration of modern information technology. We have achieved consensus on the connotation and requirements of the construction of "New Liberal Arts", the orientation and design of cultivation programs, and the strengthening of cross-fertilization between liberal arts and engineering. On this basis, the interested schools were guided to declare new liberal arts subjects with clear targets. After careful examination and screening, the university finally recommended four subjects with practical significance to the construction of new liberal arts to the Department of Education.

The construction of "four news" is a recent requirement to press forward the development of higher education in the new era. In the future, the university will make better use of this opportunity to deepen the research and reform of education and teaching, to fulfill the regional development need, and will take new changes, new problems and new technologies as the research basis, apply the integration, interoperability and mutual advancement of disciplines as the research path to deepen the construction of the professional system with reasonable layout, local roots, service industry and distinctive features, in the hope of promoting the transformation and upgrading of traditional majors. We will focus on strengthening the summary and condensation of teaching achievements and improving the efficiency of teaching activities. We will further promote the connotative development of teaching, stimulate the sustainable and healthy development of education in the school, and continuously improve the quality of talent training.
