On October 21st, the 5th Jilin Province Higher Education Digital Architecture Application Skills Competition was successfully held at Jilin University of Architecture and Technology. The competition was guided by the Education Department of Jilin Province, organized by the Jilin University of Architecture and Technology, and co-organized by the Zhongke Research Center for Construction Industrialization Innovation, Chenxi Technology, and the Jilin Civil Engineering and Architecture Society BIM Branch. During the competition, a forum for cultivating intelligent construction talents and developing digital construction technology was held simultaneously. The competition was live-streamed throughout the process, with high enthusiasm among participants and guests.

        This competition features 72 representative teams from 12 construction universities in Jilin province, with a total of 182 participants and 71 instructors gathered at the Jilin University of Architecture and Technology. The opening ceremony was presided over by Liu Chunyu, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of Jilin University of Architecture and Technology and Dean of the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education.

 

This competition includes BIM modeling competition, BIM project management competition, and prefabricated construction competition, with the respective awards of Instructor Award, Individual Champion, First Prize, Second Prize, and Third Prize. 

The new era has put forward higher requirements for higher education in China. As a base for cultivating applied talents, applied universities in architecture should bear the responsibility. This competition not only showcases the achievements of the reform of applied talent cultivation in ordinary universities in our province but also serves as an in-depth exchange among students in digital building application technology in higher education institutions. It is of great significance for vigorously promoting the application and innovation of digital building technology, promoting the deepening of educational reform, innovating talent cultivation models, and boosting students' employment and entrepreneurship in higher education institutions.
