Recently, the 2023 iCAN University Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition Internet English Listening and Speaking Challenge Provincial Competition, jointly organized by the Education Branch of the China Information Association and the Foreign Language Teaching Research Association, came to a successful conclusion. In this competition, two students from our university successfully advanced to the national finals and received outstanding results in three first prizes and four second prizes.

            At the beginning of the competition, the School of Foreign Languages actively organized students to register. To help students better understand the process and familiarize themselves with the mobile applications used for answering questions, our experienced professors provided pre-exam guidance to students, encouraging them to prepare for the competition. After intense university and provincial competitions, students Wei Shanshan and Fang Jiayu from the School of Foreign Languages successfully entered the national finals. Dong Huiping, Wang Yao, and Qi Wen won the first prize in the provincial competition, while Song Jinpeng, Wang Ziyi, Cao Baihui, and Liu Huan won the second prize.

Our university has attached great importance to students' professional qualities and innovative abilities, continuously improving the teaching system around cultivating high-quality talent and promoting learning and innovation through competitions. The competition promoted students' use of mobile devices for listening and speaking training and self-directed learning habits. It is a platform for students to express and create, while it is a chance to stimulate their interest in language learning.
