Intelligence and Sustainability in Harmony: JLUAT and Huawei Embark on a New Chapter of Technological Cooperation

 On March 5, 2025, a delegation of nine representatives from Jilin University of Architecture and Technology (JLUAT), led by Chairman Chen Yitian, along with school executives and heads of relevant departments, visited Huawei Jilin Regional Headquarters. This visit marks a new phase in the collaboration between JLUAT and Huawei across multiple domains, including smart technology applications and green energy. 


During the meeting, the Huawei team provided an in-depth presentation on the latest advancements of the DEEPSEEK large model, showcasing its applications in the field of artificial intelligence. Through concrete case studies, they demonstrated how DEEPSEEK plays a crucial role in intelligent services, data processing, and decision support. To ensure the effective implementation of this technology within the university, discussions were held on local deployment strategies, with a particular focus on data security and privacy protection.

In response to JLUAT’s specific needs, Huawei proposed a large-scale computing infrastructure to support DEEPSEEK and recommended customized configurations tailored to the university’s requirements. This technology is expected to significantly enhance JLUAT’s capabilities in teaching management, research data analysis, and administrative intelligence, thereby improving overall institutional efficiency.

Furthermore, both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on the digital transformation of smart campus development, academic administration, and research support. The localized deployment of the DEEPSEEK large model will provide robust technological backing for JLUAT, particularly in intelligent management and digital education, fostering a more efficient and technology-driven academic environment.

In the realm of green energy, Huawei introduced its customized green power solutions, emphasizing the integration of photovoltaic (PV) and energy storage systems. This initiative aims to leverage solar energy and storage technologies to facilitate the low-energy-consumption demonstration buildings on campus, advancing the university’s transition towards sustainable and low-carbon energy solutions.

        A key focus of the discussions was the stability and long-term sustainability of PV and energy storage systems. With continuous technological advancements, these energy storage solutions are expected to not only reduce the university’s energy costs but also significantly enhance energy utilization efficiency. This initiative aligns with JLUAT’s commitment to green development and provides strong support for its long-term environmental goals.

This seminar has further deepened the partnership between JLUAT and Huawei, laying a solid foundation for future collaborations in smart education, technological innovation, and green energy. Both parties have defined the implementation framework for technological applications and green energy projects and are committed to actively promoting the integration of these innovative solutions within the campus.

Looking ahead, JLUAT and Huawei will continue to strengthen their cooperation in smart technology, artificial intelligence, and sustainable energy, jointly driving the development of smart campuses and green, low-carbon initiatives.
